PRERECORDED ONLINE CLASS. Comes with 4 videos (one for each lesson plus a special video on how to do “sink art”), supply list, handouts and step-by-step art lessons. These 4 lessons are inspired by my teacher, Dick Beasley (1934–1992). I studied with him in the late 1980s and have kept his lessons near and dear to my heart. His bright use of color, impeccable sense of design, experimentation and whimsy, made him one of the forefathers of “taking calligraphy out of the box.”

 If you have seen his work, or just want to try something new, these 1-hour classes will not only whet your appetite, they will give you the information you need to create experimental work on your own. That is what Beasley did for me: he gave me the tools I needed to do the work I do today.

These lesson include using the Munsell color wheel; Tints, Tones & Shades; Wooden Tools and Sink Art. I teach every lesson as a stand-alone snippet of art. These are not lessons in calligraphy, although there will be a lesson on how to use space the Roman Capital letters. No previous experience is needed and it is not required to have taken my earlier classes. Each lesson approximately 45 minutes. Videos will be available for 3 months.
