PRERECORDED ONLINE CLASSES. Comes with 4 videos, supply lists and handouts. In this module of 4 classes we will cover the principles of design—focusing on the concept of emphasis for our painting, the emotions and moods of color, painting poetry and painting music. Each lesson is a start to finish how-to paint the topic. We will be working with sumi ink, watercolors, acrylic ink and paint, as well as other materials. We will delve into the teachings of Wassily Kandinsky and Paul Klee to see what their thoughts are about these topics.

There are no prerequisites for these classes. No need to have taken any of the previous classes, or to be a painter or calligrapher. However, all the previous lessons are available as prerecorded lessons.

Lessons are taught in a hand-made 4x3" book (see below for prerecorded class on how to make the book) or you can use a journal or just paper.
